It was my last night on work. They called me back in and asked if I
could pull one month. I had been off work for around 6 months at that
point waiting for the State to give me information on how much money I
needed to pay back into my retirement fund. I was on NDI which pays
around 500.00 a month back then.
I wanted to remain in Tier I retirement and pay back the funds to my
retirement which I had drawn out a couple of times after I quit the job.
Because of the way they do things in Accounting [Sac}, I needed one
month to get 10 years total back in.
I tried to work it and lasted 3 days.
The first day back I was doing staffing for the program. One woman kept
continually calling to see if we had enough staff to take off for
night. she called 3 times in 5 minutes, and I couldn't take staffing
while she continually interrupted my calls to the other units.
The second night, I was on my other unit. we had staffing again. {
program staffing rotated every month between the units} This time I had
the NOD ask me to send a staff member to another program on another unit
that was short staffed. I sent my staff. Around 3 AM I got a call from
a unit asking me where my staff was?
I told them I had already sent my staff to unit X. They said they were
told I was sending staff to their unit so one of their staff members
could go home. I asked what her title was, and she was a PT, [which is
not a Sr. PT I] She kept arguing with me, so i told her to telephone
the NOD. She wasn't taking my word for it at all. this is how they did
staffing at *one* hospital, the others use other means to maintain
staffing levels.
The Beh Program down south, didn't want staff on the unit that didn't
know the clients, so they could authorize overtime or call in people
from other shifts to cover the unit.
the third night.
The administrative offices sent their memos and stuff to be filed in the
manual. I can only remember bits and pieces of it. I do remember
Pink.... and flipping out over their use of color to deter people from
reading what their job encompassed. It is also my license on the line
when they fuck up!! So they don't get to fuck up. My friend Betty would
remember more than I do at this point, as I had had IT!!!!!!!!
That was my last night, and I ended up taking Tier II benefits instead
of Tier I which was a cut in pay.

I have my copy right here. And it isn't printed on pink paper, so it isn't
the sekrit Operations Manual you spoke of.
But since you mentioned it, here quoted from the APA Guidelines:
Principle A: Beneficence and Nonmaleficence
Principle B: Fidelity and Responsibility
Principle C: Integrity
Principle D: Justice
Principle E: Respect for People's Rights and Dignity
Now where in there is there anything about an "operations manual?" It has
to do with ethics, not how to be a psychologist or a practitioner. In fact,
it isn't even a set of rules, which is what you said it is.
So, best I can figure is you are on a target free rant.
Go for it! Bye!

:
: I did not defend the posting of your real life information, and there's
: not a single post that says I did.
:
: Not one, Kali.
Not explicitly, no.
: I still think that posting real-life information is wrong. A pragmatic
: statement about "leveling the playing field" or asserting that "what is
: sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander" is not an endorsement.
Sounds like justification to me.
: You, on the other hand, made the following assertion about friendships,

: flaming you.
:

It does. You lost a friendship. So did I.

Nope. Just a pragmatic statement.

I think it is, or I wouldn't have said it.
: I think it was shitty of Snarky to have made the nomination knowing what

:
: And when you apologized, there was nothing in my response to indicate I

I don't recall apologizing. I recall reflecting and commenting

Yes...
: I was pretty quiet from the time of the breakup on February 1
: until he made his acceptance speech for the Salinger on February 11 or
: 12, when he brought me back into something I should've been left out of,
: on all counts.
:
: AOK was after that.
:
: > and Rhonda says she was hurt by it. Rhonda and miguel share a

:
: My dislike for auk was triggered by the episode with AOK, in which
: Lionel and Snarky persisted in their efforts to flame her even though
: she'd been Formosa'd. It had nothing to do with my relationship with
: Rick, and in fact, we were on the same side in that particular instance.
:
: The AOK debacle followed the death troll, but preceded Mike's flaming

Right.

Yes. Since 2004.
: If your recollection of his posting history is as skewed as your
: recollection of recent history, I suppose all the facts in the world
: won't change it. I only care because you're using a very old-fashioned
: standard for deciding who gets custody, so I'm not going to bother with
: evidence.
:
: But your position is just weird. It's a newsgroup, not his best friend.
AUK doesn't have a community of friends, Rhonda, or?
: You'd be better off relying on the position I took after AOK came and
: went. It, at least, has some basis in reason.
:
: > and she
: > hasn't. And she's not just hanging around, she's attacking him,

I wish you would both stop it. I've seen him try to back out

:
: Correlation is not causation, Kali.
This doesn't map to the quoted statement.
: My difficulties with auk stem from the AOK issue and later, the miguel
: issue. They have nothing to do with the breakup of Rick's and my
: relationship, except to the extent others have mixed up the sequence of
: events.
I disagree. It may not be a big contributor to the Big Mess, but
it would be absurd to assume that it didn't have some effect.
I'll dig. Maybe. One indication was the way you justified
miguel's obnoxious behavior by saying he had had been kind to
you when everyone else was slapping Rick on the back for his
great troll, at a personal cost to you.
