Hi friends,
This is Kamaal Mustafa from Bombay, India. I am into Graphic Design
for print media. I am glad to join this great group and hope to
exchange comments with other designers worldwide.
I am basically a Corel enthusiast and mostly work on it, whereas prefer
Photoshop for image editing/touch up etc. I tried my hands on
Illustrator but was never comfortable on it.
I invite you all to open bc, which is a great way to network with
people worldwide. I find it more appealing and interesting than ryze.
Apart from graphics, my other passion is retro hindi film music and I
am a fan of legendary music personalities of hfm.
That's all from me for now, hope to hear from you all.
Thanks & Regards,
Kamaal

Cool name!
In GB it would raise a smile - which can't be a bad thing.
I don't like Illustrator either. I prefer FreeHand [which is about to be
poleaxed by King Adobe]. I like Quark for dtp work... which almost
self-poleaxed, but might recover its market if we're lucky. My design work
is print based too, when I'm lucky enough to get any that is. Today I picked
up a neat little job so I'm happy about that. Sometimes it's easy to forget
I'm supposed to be a graphic designer.

Sorry, I didn't understand why my name would raise a smile
It's a
common Muslim name and I am sure there would be many with that name in
GB.
All the best for your new job? Do you have any blog where you upload
your works?

Kamaal

It's a bit like Ivor Biggun, Theresa Green or Justin Time - Must have a
camel... it's just outdated 60s' "Carry On film" phonetic word play. I often
get a mild smile when people say "Hi Jean"... My mum knew a girl called
Nesta Rooks and I guess that would make everyone laugh. I live near a town
called Hemel Hempstead and there's a girl who lived there who had been
called Emma Lempstead... These are silly things that keep the Brits amused.
It goes back to Shakespeare and Dickens, maybe even further.
Not really. I have a blog [almost extinct] and I have websites but I don't
upload much work. I don't do much work that's why the incoming newsletter
job is a bit of an event for me.

Hatter, you forgot "tweenage muppet fuck."
Mustafa, we're not all as intolerant and overflowing with vitriol as
Onideus here, but sometimes someone's gotta say it and it may as well be
a person with no tact.
