Okay, I hace made teh significant update!

First off...it's got HSL controllers, YAY!

There's only a couple things you can't use them on, like some parts
that are all black or all white...cause there isn't too much point.
With some parts I'm going to include a black and white version by
default (like the bra and panties) just so you can save yourself the
inconvenience of messing with the HSL controllers.

Something to keep in mind is that if you alter the body color it will
automagically alter the head color and emotion face color (even if you
haven't selected them yet).

The lil question mark button does something now! Well, sorta, it just
gives a lil description about the sprite generator, says that I made
it and links to my main Backwater site.

I also added in 12 new head/hair pieces for the teen girl body. I've
actually got 18 more that are basically ready to go, they just need
the head part split apart from the hair part and made into two
separate images (so the HSL controllers will work right). And I've
got another 12 after that, from other sprites I found, but they'll
require about a half hour each to edit out of the originals and match
against my base model.

I added in a new face/emotion, for having a character with closed
eyes. Oh, it should be noted that none of the new hair/head pieces
have angry or humiliated images done, so if you select a new hair/head
piece and select either angry or humiliated it'll just show a blank
face.

Still a long ways to go, but I think I'm makin pretty good progress.
Still some edits I need to make, like I need to split the bra and
panties into two separate selections, in case maybe you want your
character just in panties or just in a bra, or if you want to have
mixed colors.

I put in a new eye style called "Neji Eyes", I'm sure if you've ever
seen Naruto you can figure out what they look like. ^_^

....oh the new hair/head pieces don't have names yet so they just come
up as "?" on the descriptions. If anyone has suggestions, fire away.

At this point my next move will be in creating the angry and
humiliated graphics for all the new hair/head pieces. After that I'll
add in those other 18 hair/head pieces that are almost ready to go and
that'll give me an excuse to program the scroll bar functionality,
which in the final version will only be visible if it's needed. After
I do that I want to add in some more extras and clothes. Once that's
finished I'll add in the elf ears option for the teen girl figure and
maybe the cat ears/tail as well. At that point I'm going to consider
the teen female to be complete for version 1 and then I'll start
adding in head/hair and clothing pieces for the teen male. I'm hoping
to have all that done by the end of December, although I have to split
my time a little because I got a lot of people naggin at me to do some

I'm thinking that sometime in December I'll probably take like a week
off from work so I can try and make some significant progress on both
the sprite generator and my new CB site design (really at this point
I'm mostly just importing material from the old site and formatting it
to match the new style).

First off, bearing in mind that I'm no coding or sprite genius:

Is there anyway (or are you going to put in the capability) to enlarge
the sprite? I know sprites are supposed to be small, but it'd be nice
to see the changes made more clearly. Meaning, if I change from
"excited" to "blushing" it'd be nicer if I clearly see the diff.

Also, being someone who HAS green eyes, I really love to see some green

Also, I'd label the "bodies" male or female . . . at a small size,
it's kinda hard to tell what's what. The only real way to tell is after
you've selected them in the info pane. You've labeled the emoticons,
and the eyes and hair are pretty self-explanatory (and bigger), so I
thought I'd mention it.

Last, but not least, the hair styles - well, good luck labeling those.
The names for hair styles frigging changes each and every time I go get
a hair cut. You'll need a frigging database for that!!! You could try
naming them for the celeb that currently sports it - that probably will
be more lasting than using a generic name for it. If you're targeting a
teen-to-twenty-somethings crowd, they'll be able to know the style
based on the celeb (Lord knows my 12yo DD knows every frigging celeb
out there, who s/he is boffing, who they boffed last week and what they
wore while boffing.

Anyway . . . it's really cool. And again, bear in mind, that I'm not a
sprite devotee.

Um...you know you can change the base color of the eyes, right? Just
select the eyes you want and then move the HSL adjusters to get the
color/look you want. I'm thinking though that maybe I should have it
alter the selection/preview image too...but then on the other hand I
think that provides a nice comparison as to what the original looks
like if you change it around...hrmmm...I've have to think about it.

Hrmmm, just out of curiosity what's yer resolution? I'm thinkin it
must be significantly higher than 1024x768 if you can't discern
between the two bodies (one has breasts, the other has a wang). ^_^

Yeah I haven't really decided what I'm going to do yet, I'll probably
just get creative and think up some names that I think sound clever or
interesting. Some are easier than others, like there's this one I
haven't added yet that looks like the hairstyle Princess Leah had in
the first Star Wars movie, so I can just name that Princess Leah and
call it good.

That's okay, before a month ago I had never done any sprite editing in
my life. ^_^

I love discovering new genres and forms, there's so much to experiment
with! So much to learn and not enough time in the day is the way it
usually goes. I've actually begun to loath sleeping because it's like
an interruption in my creative process.
