large vector images for use as props
Posted by hedgomatic on April 10th, 2008

Hi,

I've come up with a set of about 15 images that somewhat resemble
video game sprites in illustrator, that I'd like to in some way
recreate at about 4'x4', ideally in a way that can be affixed to
foamcore board.

Offset printing on matte finish seems like it would be less than
feasible since I anticipate I'll only need one to two prints of each
element. Poster paints aren't terribly great either since the color
won't be as rich and I'm lousy at freehanding in a large format,
though I'd be willing to try if it weren't for the color issue.

Any recommendations on getting crisp, vibrant, solid colors in medium
format without breaking the bank? I'd ideally like about 15 to 20
(unique) prints for under $400. If I can make it under $40, perfect :]

Find some backyard silkscreen artist to do it for you.
