a form of entertainment, though for some it's quite serious and for
others it is simply an annoyance...that's the thing of it though, you

I've heard that Agnes used to be pronounced Annus [silent g, and definitely
NOT aynus] in older [pre-Victorian] times in England. So Inez is your real
name then. I thought it was a usenet nym.

What you could do is filter out any post that comes here cross-posted to
anywhere else, like that flonk place, or filter out posts that are
cross-posted to more than two other groups, that helps to keep the noise
down.

| I have no idea of it's origins. My 2 mothers (biological & adopted) were

Common name in French Louisiana, but is Spanish in origin and translates to
'pure' likely has some connection to the Spanish Creoles
Meaning of: Creole:
A creole is a person born in the West Indies or South America of European
parents. The name is often erroneously applied to persons of mixed white and
black parentage.
Note also applies to people born in the Louisiana colonies.

Much more fun than being called Deborah or Karen - they were the most
popular names at my old school, most girls from my era seem to have been
called Deborah, Karen, Elizabeth, Katherine or Caroline. And all boys were
called Gary, Steve, Peter, Paul or David. Nice and straight forward... not
like Shiloh Pitt [which is going to come back and bite the poor little
bugger backwards]
I use OS9 too. I use OE too [when I'm using OS9 that is] of course "they're"
no longer updating OE for mac on OS9, so it won't be long before I have to
bite the bullet and go all out for OSX, but I'm not looking forward to
losing this OS9 interface. When this wave of trollery started I did a bit of
jiggery pokery with my "rules" and subdued them. I don't like to killifile I
like to see what's going on. I go in for colour coding posters...you're pink
by the way.
As you say.

Curious what's the best (subjective question) news/mail program for Max OS

I've been using Thunderbird but I'd be happy to try any other free app.
that's got nice and easy filtering and all that jazz. I like Thunderbird for
everything else but the filtering isn't all that brilliant... least ways I
haven't managed to get it to do anything more glamorous than killfile
threads or posters; I'd like it to get rid of specific xposts and I'd like
to colour code anyone who posts from googlegroups...
So I'd be interested in an answer to your question too.
