I agree with you, all the people disliking Flash should add this bookmark to
their browsers.
cheers -- Flash is alive and well!

Meh I didn't like it... got a bit lost. Too much going on for me. Very good
attention to detail though.
I might like it later if I'm more awake

You're not missing anything. Outside of a few good-looking female models, it
is deadly dull. Poor navigation, poor focus, and filled with all the
standard clip-art Flash tricks and star-trek sound effects.
Guaranteed to obscure any message this company may have.

Have to agree with you on that one Dan. I'm an advocate for Flash in the
right circumstances, however needlessly complicated Flash (just for the sake
of being able to do it) does not make any design a good one.
Styled nicely, designed poorly.

I don't agree with you. May be there are many better solutions than this
one. Anyway the idea to advertise new technology and services based on a
storyboard is good. I remember microsoft did a Flash site devoted to a
particular product *sorry, but I don't remember which product* using a
storyboard concept too. It's more involving for the consumer to check
product and services in this way.
The storyboard is a little attempt to create something very near to an
interactive movie. With Flash you can do it and it could be possible to do
even better, but you know, independent designers are always a step ahead
than the ones working for big corporations. Less productive but more
involved into experimental projects.
Have you seen the ultimate Joshua Davis' Flash site design? Take a look at
this Giant Octopus, a completely xml driven navigation system:
http://www.giantoctopus.com/
Joshua he's my favourite web designer, it push technology to the limits
using creativity. I love his approach to the creative process. I just
finished to read his ultimate book 'Flash to the Core'. The book worth a
reading not only for the technical stuff explained in it but particulary
because it reveals the 'philosophy' and the creative world of the author. I
like his vision(s).

P.S. Anyway, I like Flash but I don't forget xhtml/CSS and web standards.

Matt, don't be afraid to think differently from the others. IMO is not an
issue, indeed is a virtue. If you have a different idea, express and defend
it.

I was referring to, stylizing things to the point of affecting/sacrificing
usability. Didn't have a problem with the story board concept either. The
octupus was nice and hierarchial, only problem was the popup wins didn't
have scroll bars (Firebird) so I was unable (without highlighting and
dragging) to see the visual overview. However it was straight to the point
without trying to over do it IMHO.

Style (form) is to be equal to substance (function) - that's my line.
The style was cool but it's wasn't functional at times - I think they tried
to make it usable though it wasn't at times.
It was also a nice visual
glimpse into the future. Great idea!!
