Often business publications and newspapers don't print business
license registrations in a timely manner. Such information is public
record and you may find it earlier online at your citycounty's web
site or at the local public records office. Some newspapers do also
print real estate and leasing information - especially for commercial
ventures. That would be early in the process of establishing a new
business and might be a great time to approach individuals abut such
work.
It is also helpful to let your local Small Business Adminstration
office, or Small Business Development Center, know of your work. They
may recommend you to people researching their options in starting new
businesses.
Good luck! - Jeff
