Here's another poll == let's make this one official, ok?

Do you think that the above poll should be on a Political ng and not on a
graphics ng? My vote is YES!

My vote is NO! Designers are political beings, I appreciate seeing their
design as well as their opinion.

Kind of related...

I used to put together briefings for the man on his right (General Myers)
when in the Air Force.

It's kind of weird seeing him in this high of a position now.

At the minimum it should be marked OT.

However, for a ng that supposedly specializes in communicative design there
is a distinct lack of properly formatted communication.

There are no "Off Topic" messages in this newsgroup. If you intend to stay
around, you will just have to get use to that fact.

since when is graphic design about "properly formatted communication"?

joel.

p.s. whoever invented posting a reply at the bottom...
sift through all the previous message just to read the
one line response at the bottom?

heh, trying too hard to be philosophical only makes you look idiotic.

you would properly format a piece to the target audience, within the
constraints of the medium being used, or say if you were assembling a table
of related values that pertained to Chapter 5 of the book would you then
spread each individual number on each page of the book thereby making your
viewer have to thumb through every page of the book to see the values
pertaining to Chapter 5?

proximity/unity

lol, nah just enjoy watching people continuously invoke selective standards
on each other in this ng and then turn around and become the epitomy of
hypocrisy...quite amusing actually. Theres very little actual knowledge to
be gleaned from this ng.
