Battery Monitors?
Posted by brianc on March 25th, 2006

Hey,

Got me an iPAQ 2200 with HP ROM update 1.1 / AmbiCom54 cf wifi / 1 gig
sd storage / and extended battery. (Joystick button is a broken,
cheap, plastic piece of shit, not worth the money to replace).

Currently, I use Magic Button to monitor battery status on the today
screen. I'm looking for something simpler, without any taskbar extras
at all. Just a simple Today Screen battery status monitor. Something
that is free, small, and not currently availiable in ROM with Windows
CE 4.2.

What do you use?

;-)

Well, I use TodaysInfo [1], it is small and resource effective. But soon
I'll have it retired because I'm developing my own highly configurable
status plugin right now (at the bottom of [2]).
But what you are looking for are may BatteryBar [3] or
PowerStatus [4]. They use less space than TodaysInfo. There was a plugin
that only shows a 2 Pixel high bar on the today screen, spanning over the
entire screen width, but unfortunately I can't remember the name any more.
