Any Compaq Aero 8000 mini-laptop owners out there?

Did you ever have a problem with yours whereby it kept dropping into
'suspend' mode even while you were typing, etc.?

I've just got one from eBay and it has this problem.

Did you ever get the problem? Or can you think of a solution please?
