- Compaq C140 and Windows XP
- Posted by ogato@altavista.com on February 7th, 2005
For years I used my Handheld Compaq C140 with my old PC which was
running Windows 95.
Now I have a newer PC which runs Windows XP.
It appears that the Compaq C140 Handheld Computer has become a legacy
problem for Windows XP.
The software, a CD-Rom, which came with the C140 was designed for
Windows 95.
This is the software that installed the HPC Explorer on the PC and
allowed for communication between the PC and the HPC.
Probably the only choice left to me now is to give away the C140 to
someone that can use it with a Windows 95 or 98 PC.
