- Is a dead unit that doesn't respond to AC power consistent w/a dead battery on an IPAQ?

I am repostiing because I think my previous posting was misunderstood.
My unit is non-responsive after obvious deterioration of the battery. It now
will not respond at all even w/AC power. Does this mean the unit is damaged
or could replaciing the battery resolve the situation.

Actually - it was good advice - sometimes a non responsive unit might come
back after doing this. Besides, if you try it and it didn't help, then it
didn't really hurt anything.
