HP Jornada 568 screen broken
Posted by Adam on August 21st, 2004

Hello,

My fathers 568 broke. A little less than one third of the
screen(left side) is blank, while the rest operate fine. The
Digitizer works. Is the only way to solve this problem to replace the
lcd? If so, is the price at this webstore reasonable:
http://tinyurl.com/3qjkk, and how difficult is the replacement
procedure?

thanks,

About the only cheaper method of replacing the screen would be to get a non-functioning Jornada off Ebay. but, then, you'd be
taking the change that the LCD doesn't work. I'm surprised you were able to find the LCD replacement so cheap.

That price is about par for the course.

I have replaced screens in a Jornada 548 and a Casio E-125 and the
procedure is not that difficult. Just block out some time (~1 hour),
have a clean place to work and ground yourself so you don't fry
anything.

Good luck.
