Keyboard For IPAQ 2215??
Posted by MS on July 10th, 2003

I bought a few different kinds on Ebay (advertised as compatible with the
3800, 3900, etc., which I understand have the same connector-- the 2210 is
too new to be listed on compatibility lists yet).

I haven't been able to get any to work. Which external keyboards have people
got to work well with the IPAQ 2210/2215, and how?

Thank you.

There is any infrared keyboard that I saw out on the web the other day. .
..should work with any IR enabled device. I'll try to post later when I get
home.

<http://h30143.www3.hp.com/configure2.cfm?oid=312547#m_4> implies that
the official HP/Compaq folding keyboard that you can buy for the 3800,
3900 and 5450 series works with the 2210/2215. Though I have (and love)
my folding keyboard, I have *not* tried it on any Pocket PC 2003 iPAQ,
let alone a 2210/2215, so I can't tell you whether there is a suitable
driver available.

I guess that the micro keyboards not appearing there is that they
physically do not fit the 2210/2215.

The Stowaway for the 3800 should work, since it doesn't cradle the PDA
like some so the flat butt (no jokes please) of the 22xx won't get in
the way.

The Stowaway is also the best keyboard if you're looking for
laptop-or-better feel. It's no longer the smallest, but it's about the
smallest one that gives you a complete set of full-size keys, and the
typing quality is better than most current laptops... it's as good as
my Thinkpad and only bettered by the old full-travel Toshibas.

était un vrai mini-PC.
J'ai l'habitude d'entrer du texte au kilomètre dans le bus ou le
métro. Il me faut une bonne soulution

I worked a lot with the HP200LX which was a nice micro-PC
I use to enter a lot of writings inside the pocket while I'm traveling
in the bus or in the metro
I am just trying the HP Ipaq 1915 before buying the HP Ipaq 5450 or
5500
My question:
My problem is the micro- keyboard
Do you use easily, everyday, the micro-keyboard with an HP Ipaq? Is it
easy?

I'm using
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...H/103-2496805-
3622259?v=glance , which I used for my 3870 before, and it works good enough.
The only problem I have is that the 2210 is balanced slightly different,
which makes the keyboard tilt backwards a little. I've fabrcicated new stops
for the sliding support in the back of the Pocket PC stand, and now it works
perfect.
