- Which phone for use with Ipaq 2210?
- Posted by Metaphoid on August 7th, 2003
I've got an Ipaq 2210 on order, and am out of contract on my mobile phone.
Accordingly, I thought a decent bluetooth-enabled phone might be a wise
investment. Can anyone recommend a suitable model?

There are several thread on this just in the past few days. You might want
to check those.

I prefer the T68i because it's tiny and I didn't want a cell phone at
all. However, since my lovely wife insisted I get one, being small
and BT compatible was a must

light, has a tidy screen, has a camera with flash (but I have never used it
seriously)but suspect you will have few problems with the SE T68i or the SE
T610 (and maybe others as well)

Please, do not get the T68i. I have it, and am very much NOT happy with
it (and not just the provider, the actual phone). There are better
options out there, such as the Siemens phone, etc.

I have the T68i - and it works perfectly with my 2210/15. In fact, with the
improve Pocket Internet Explorer - surfing is almost getting there though I
still
wish if it could get a bit faster.
I was wondering though, if there's a difference in the GPRS unit on the T610
and the T68i - what I was getting is that I think the GPRS unit (or modem or
whatever you call it) is probably inferior, thus the slower speeds - is that
correct? I've seen O2 XDA surf the web via GPRS, and it's just about 10
times faster than my t68 and recently
on the spec sheet of the T610 - I noticed it says GPRS - 4+1, - does that
mean more channels for more bandwidth ??
Btw. if anyone knows, what is the expected data rate when using GPRS via
Bluetooth, maybe the problem isn't with GPRS but Bluetooth?
