PPC Calculator Problem
Posted by Brian Ward on July 5th, 2003

I wanted to use the windoze calculator for currency calculations abroad.
I find that the rates I enter disappear (or reset to 1) after the
calculator is closed down and opened again, meaning I have to remember
and reenter the rates again or keep the calculator running in the
background.
Is this a windoze or machine-specific problem does anyone know?
TIA
Brian

traditionally don't include file system access, so they normally
don't write a file to retain information when shut down. There
may however be calculators that include such facilities.

On my PDA, I'd get around that by writing a spreadsheet that
contains a variety of conversion facilities (currency, metric to
imperial, temperature conversions, whatever else seems handy for
travel). I suspect that would be your easiest method.
