I suggest checking some of the lists on Chris De Herrera's site. In

You might also check out the Psions.

I _think_ ACT is not supported under any version of Windows CE. I'm
more certain software exists to synchronize ACT on a "desktop" with
the contact manager on at least some Windows CE computers. You might
want to use google to look for more info, but I can't think of a good
search string offhand.

This thing is _not_ a Pocket PC. Pocket PC is a specific form factor
(operating system plus hardware plus base appliation) defined by
Microsoft. Pocket PC 2003 uses a variation of Windows CE 4.2, much as
Tablet PCs use a variation of Windows XP. Earlier version of Pocket PC
used variations of Windows CE 3.0.

Although programs _can_ be built to run on multiple Windows CE
platforms, most are not. Pocket PCs have their own menu functions, so
any software built specifically for Pocket PCs will fail on anything
else. Also, I'm pretty sure the .NET Compact Framework is not
supported for Windows CE 4.1, so anything built for .NET Compact
Framework will fail. Screen size is also an issue, but the screen on
this is larger than on Pocket PCs, so the only "incompatibility" is
that the window would be smaller than necessary (and Windows CE does
not support resizable windows.) I think most Pocket PC programs will
_not_ run on this.

The form factor is similar to that of Tablet PCs. It's great for
taking notes (or for doing inspections using our software :-). I'm
skeptical about claims either can be used for voluminous text input.
But I'm a touch-typing keyboard bigot.

It could probably be used as a giant cell phone, but I'm mercifully
unaware of details.

I did find a web site:
http://www.moreio.com/moreio/www.nsf/h/TabletCE_home

Welcome to the wonderful world of portables. Folks keep reinventing
form factors. Some (like Pocket PC and definitely Palm) seem to take.
Others (like this sort of tablet) keep waxing and waning without ever
going away or becoming close to mainstream.
