Sony CLIE with a non-sony memory stick
Posted by Rupendra S. Dhillon on October 13th, 2003

I just bought a Sony CLIE PEG-NX70V. I wanted to confirm if I can use
memory sticks from comapnies other than sony (such as Lexar or
scandisk) in it because of the difference of price between the two.

Does anyone having a CLIE has a different memory stick than SONY ?
Please respond.

Thanks in advance
Rupendra

I'm using a Lexar 32M in a Clie SL10 just fine. Never heard anyone
having a problem with 3rd party sticks.

I know it's older stuff, but I figure new should be even more
reliable.

If Sony wants MS to become a standard, they have to strive for
compatibility, Right?

I am using a 128MB SanDisk memory stick with zero problems. I also make use
of a JumpDrive to allow me to plug the memory stick into the USB port
and copy files directly to it.

I have been using a Lexar 64 mb in my Clie SJ20 for just over a year now
with no problems.
