Wireless on linuxed 3700 IPAQ
Posted by Michael on May 6th, 2004

I have an IPAQ 3700 and had got it working with an old old version of
familiar with OPIE and wireless many moons ago.
After lending it to a friend it came back all screwed up and so I
wiped it
and reinstalled the latest familiar/OPIE (0.7.2). Installation looked
successful and OPIE registers the Cisco 350 802.11b card when I insert
it into the PCMCIA sleeve, but it doesnt work. The instructions I was
using said it should just work, but there must be more to the story
then that. If I do an ifconfig, I only see the lo interface. When I
insert the card, syslog says

/etc/init.d # airo: Max tries exceeded waiting for command
airo: MAC could not be enabled
airo_cs: RequestConfiguration: Operation succeeded

What do I need to do to get this Cisco 350 card working?

THanks,

Michael.
