- Asus A8V wifi card crashing?
- Posted by Michael Dawson on December 4th, 2005
I have recently purchased an Asus motherboard (A8V Deluxe), wich comes with a
wifi card (WiFi-G), but whenever the card is installed i am plagued with
randome crashes. This is the second fresh install with the card installed and
it is still happening. Windows is 100% fully patched, and when i remove the
card normality is restored
but, well, the card is surposed to work. Is
there any known issue with this hardware? Is there something that i could
test, or set?

You might look here and include your exact model #'s for your board and wifi
card.. See if there are any driver updates, bios updates, etc.., that you may
need to download and install for your hardware.. It's your call..

Hope this can help..

Hi Michael, yes certain people have had issues with this card, try moving it
to another slot, no 4 I think is the one that isn't shared. Other than that,
if you've other cards, try removing them and see if it makes any
differences, then put them back in one by one. There is a great some really
good forums here,
