- chkdsk - ends too fast to read results
- Posted by M Skabialka on March 10th, 2008
Whenever I notice computers are slowing down I schedule chkdsk /f to run on
the next reboot. However after chkdsk has run the results do not display on
the screen long enough to read them. Is there a way to make it stop at then
end of chkdsk so that I can read the results and then hit a key to continue
the boot?

log when booting up has finished. In the "Source" column look around for
an entry from "Winlogon".
To start up the Event Viewer, Click on Start/Run, type "eventvwr.msc"
(without quotes) in the Run box.

Look in the event viewer, see the Winlogon entry.

My only entry under winlogin is:
Execution of GPO scripts has timed out and have been terminated.
