- Delayed Write Failure on External Firewire Drive at Startup
- Posted by Joe W on January 7th, 2006
External firewire drive will never initialize upon Windows startup. If I
start up Windows with the drive off, then turn the drive on, Windows
initializes the drive fine.
If Windows starts with the firewire drive on, it will eventually report a
"Delayed Write Failure" and the external drive will never be recognized until
I turn the drive off, then back on.
Any ideas about this much appreciated.
