My dell inspiron 6000 laptop, purchased just 6 months ago, has recently been
stalling and failing to read the information on cds, usually music cds, in
the cd drive. Also, it is failing to recognize blank cds, preventing me from
burning disks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Contact Dell tech support for repair. The laptop is under warranty and
this sounds like hardware.
