- External Firewire Drive not recognized on restart
- Posted by Joe W on January 4th, 2006
Windows XP SP2 P4 machine with Adaptec Firewire card.
I have an external firewire drive that is not recognized when I restart the
computer. If I disconnect the cable and reconnect, Windows recognizes the
drive.
I frequently access this computer remotely and occassionally reboot
remotely, so I can't always to a hotplug to get the drive recognized.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Joe
