External Hard drive
Posted by mike jenkinson on December 2nd, 2005

I know others have asked simillar questions(sorry!)but... I've installed a
new external hard drive, AND made it into one partition!! but now I'm not
sure exactly how I should use it.I thought I would be able simply copy my C
drive onto it making my computer run much faster. Is this not the case?

What purpose did you have in mind for the external drive? If it was to
backup your entire C: drive (usually the Windows partition) you will need an
imaging program such as Ghost 9 or True Image.

If your intention is to backup your personal files you will need a good
backup program such as Backup MyPC.

You can search Google for these programs. They are NOT free.
