- Fibre Channel Hard Drive on Win XP

Does Win XP Home support fibre channel hard drives? I'm looking at getting
one, and I know I'll need a controller card and an adapter and such, but I
don't want to waste 180 bucks on something my OS doesn't support. This is the
one I'm looking at:

Thanks

It would be driver issue for the adapter. Better question, why would you
spend all that money and effort for a used 145 GB drive with no warranty?

well, it's phenomenally fast. to get a 146gb 10000rpm hard drive, i'd have to
shell out at least twice as much cash and it'd still be slower than the fibre
channel hd. does microsoft make a driver for fibre channel hard drives? that
should have been my first question. thanks.

Microsoft doesn't make drivers, the hardware manufacturer's do. The
question to ask, is how much are going to spend on the Controller card and
fiber cable to connect it, and does the manufacturer of the card supply
WinXP drivers?
