floppy disc drive help

please please i need help!!! my computer keeps freezing so i decided i would
reset it to factory settings, but when i tried to reboot the floppy with the
recovery disc i get a blank. when i pressed f2 it said floppy drive not
enabled which i cant understand as it was working perfect lAST WEEK. how can
i enable this or is there a problem with the drive. A hopeless windows xp
fool please help me.

I assume that you want to reboot from the floppy disc
rather than the main harddrive because both are needed
to talk to each other when booting almost like a traffic signal.
