Hi,
I have a Gamesurround Muse 5.1 DVD Sound Card by Hercules, I have had
this card for about 3-5 months and recently I moved this sound card
from my main computer to my secondary computer, now I am having
problems with the built in game port. There is nothing wrong with the
sound card but, I get an error code 12 in device manager in the
standard game port property window saying 'This device cannot find
enough free resources that it can use'. Device Manager says that
Input/Output Range 0201-0201 is not available.
The device manager told me to run troubleshooter and i did, but this
didnt help me. I have also changed the settings in BIOS, but no change,
I also tried physicaly moving it to different PCI Slots, again no luck.
I have the latest drivers, all windows updates, latest BIOS. This in no
wayaffects sound but it makes my game port unusable which is the purpose
I bought this sound card for in the first place! This is the only
problem I am experiencing, apart from that this computer is working
wonderfully.
What can you suggest I try?
Would it be necessary to reinstall XP?
Thank you,
Josh
