how to force removable device to look like non removable?

Hello, is there a possibility to set dvdram (or any other removable
drive) as non-removable? Where does windowsxp store such info and is it
possible to override it?

Thank you in advance,
Y.

AFAIK this is not possible without some kernel driver trickery.
Can you tell us why you need this?

removable drives and i want just carry them with To be more precise,
their installers does not allow it, but when I copy it manually, it
works fine then...
