windows XP running on a Dell XPS media center disables drivers for HP
photosmart S-20 film scanner. Have "updated" software/driver disk from HP for
Windows XP. Scanner works fine on XP windows on laptop, but not on my
desktop. Help appreciated.

Yes I have. I am between a rock and a hard place-dell says because the HP
scanner doesn't have a digital signature for XP it's not there problem, it's
not recognized under the scannersand printers, however the Device manager
recognizes it as connected to the usb port. Windows XP- media addition
won't connect the drivers.
