- Hp photo printer

I did a freash install o widows xp, and when I plugged in my photo printer
I get "This divice has malfuntioned and windows will not reconize it'
I'm using a usb cable, and hve tried a new one and still does the same.
I'm running xp home sp2 1 gig mem, three hard drives, 6800gt nvidia

Yes I did, but still getting the sme message, when you install thesoftware it
comes
to the part where it askedto plug in the printer and it doesn't see it.
