my laptop harddrive has recently dyed and i dont have the money for a new one
i was wondering if there is a way to install windows xp onto a hard drive
that is in a hard drive case that connects via a usb 2.0 port?

No. Windows XP will only install on an
internal drive, not an external drive.

if i cant do this is it possible to connect a normal desktop hard drive to
my laptop and install xp to it.

if not is there any way that i can use my laptop again without having to buy
another hard drive?
