I'm running WinXP Home with AMD processor. My MS Basic Optical Mouse (or its
cursor of course) keeps jumping unwantedly, usually from the point where it
is to somwhere near the edge or corner of the screen. IntelliPoint program
in control. Whassa matta?

plain and glossy surfaces.

Make sure also that there is nothing on the mouse captor/light, I've seen
this trouble happen with cat hair/dust on the lense.
