alright, im totally stumped on this, my friend let me barrow the usb cables
from his motorola phone. Now when i first installed the cables the " detected
new hardware " wizard came up but never found the software for and the
process was unfinished. When i retried it again the next day the computer
didnt bring up the wizard. So my question is how would i go about making the
connection complete??

Try a diffrent port..Or in control panel,select "add new hardware".
