Sidewinder FFB2 Recorder problem
Posted by Plonker-Pilot on September 24th, 2005

Having just bought a new system with WinXP Pro SP2 and loading on my trusty
joystick, I find to my horror that I cannot add new profiles or change my
existing profiles via the recorder facility. The error message 'An exception
has occured cannot run shell32.dll, control_rundll joy.cpl.

I have tried reloading software + update disk but says system doesn't need
the upgrade. I have found in the system properties under device manager 2 MS
FFB2 Joysticks are shown under HID's. One has a digitally signed driver the
other hasn't. I Have also tried removing one or the other to no avail.

My old system is very similar with WinXP Pro SP2 and works fine.

Any suggestions?
