I just bought and installed a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000.
I don't like it and want to unistall the software. There is NO
removal/uninstall options in the Add/Remove of Control Panel, NO uninstall
applet in the Programs listing and NO uninstall program in the Directory in
which the program was installed.

Any ideas how to make this Mouse program go away. In the mouse dialog
within Control Panel there is the option to remove the driver, but all other
remants of the software still exist.

Before making any changes in your system, image the partition. Then fiddle
away. If you do not like what you see, simply restore the image. All will
be as it was, and no detritus will remain. If images are created routinely,
and backed up on removable media, this can be an invaluable tool for getting
rid of unwanted invaders, or quick restoration in case of hard disk failure.

least look a little closer first. For example, often the program name is not
what the user thinks it is, and so he/she may miss it when looking in the
Control Panel Add or Remove option. Then there is the case where the
uninstall program may be available in the folder for that software, but not
be shown in the Control Panel or in All Programs.

I agree, that was just a bit over the top...

Thanks Galen... After looking in Add/Remove about 15 times I finally saw MS
Intellipoint... Papa was exactly right... the program was not named what I
thought it was...
