I have a 4 way powered USB2 hub .
I have tried it in USB 1 and 2 ports.
Periodically the usb connections are diconnected and the green light for
each port goes out. The supply power(red) and usb(green) lights always stay
on.
If I quickly disconnect the USB lead or the power lead and then reconnect
the usb all work.
I have switched off power saving and tried it switched on as well .
What else could be wrong ?
