Voice Modem not working
Posted by Benedictum on October 14th, 2005

I have a Zoom 2949L ext. voice-modem which worked under Win98se. I upgraded
to winXPpro, reinstalled the modem driver (for winXP) but now my application
says that the device does not support voice extension.

I installed another voice modem (supra 2730) and installed new
drivers. ---same thing!

It seems that the Unimodem driver of the winXP does not recognize the wave
device(modem). Is there a solution to this problem or am I stuck with
win98se

Please help.

The "universal" driver should get you a "basic working modem". If you
want the "full feature set" you will need the correct driver from the
manufacturer that supports those "extras".
