- Posted by bubbarox on April 28th, 2006
i was changing icons on desktop and accidentally clicked recycle bin icon for
a folder. it still says its a folder but acts like a recycle bin and I cant
access 46 files inside of it. is there a registry edit to reverse it?
system restore not an option - turned off

I don't know why your window is doing so but If nothing works then you can
try the following trick. You said that you are unable to access the files as
your folder is acting like recycle bin. may be your are trying to
double-clicking on files to open them but your folder is showing the
properties of files. If this is so then you can try this:
1. Create a new folder on desktop
2. goto your corruptted folder
3. select all 46 files (edit - select all)
4. right-click on any file and choose "Cut"
5. Open the newly created folder
6. Right-click and click "Paste"
Let us know, if this information is useful to you.
