I know you good folks have responded to this one a thousand times but I've
never needed the information until now. I'm trying to activate windows but
am told my product key is no good. I've double-checked the product key
sticker on the computer so I know it's correct. I need to call Microsoft
and get a live person rather than the computer. Does anyone have the number
(U.S.) and is someone there 24/7 ? I'd like to get this taken care of today
(Sunday). Thanks.

You need to be aware that the product activation over the web has been stopped
for most of the OEM versions of XP! Branded (HP, Compaq, IBM, Dell) OEM
versions were being sold separate from the qualifying hardware. You can
normally locate the correct activation phone number by clicking on "Activate
by Telephone" option on the Activation screen.
