Add Remove Program problems
Posted by Ghostreeper on May 1st, 2006

When I click the add/remove program button, it will not launch. It just says
the it's populating the list. I want to remove programs but I can't get
access to them, how do I fix it?

Many programs come with their own uninstallers.

When the program was insatlled it usually creates its own folder and in the
folder is a link called Uninsatll ***.

If that is not there then open Explorer and find the folder containing the
program. Open the folder and look for a file called unins***.exe or similar.
Double click it and the uninstall routine should start.

I can't say I have ever seen a confirmed solution to this one but try:
Add/Remove Programs tool displays installed programs incorrectly

Kelly has a few Add/Remove problems listed. I can't see anything that
fits your problem exactly but have a look in case I missed something.
