- Admin password for Recovery Console

I'm working on a friends computer. It had tons of viruses and spyware
on it. I finally got it cleaned up. I was getting the windows updates
since it had not been updated for a long time when I ran into
problems. After one of the restarts from an update the system crashed.
I can get into Safe Mode (sometimes) and tried a System Restore, but
it didn't work. I wanted to try to do a Recovery with a WindowXP CD
but it's asking me for the Adminstrator Password. I don't think one
was ever set. It's a Dell that came with XPHome installed. I tried to
leave it blank but it doesn't work. Any suggestions?
