Camera and Scanner Wizard
Posted by tractrpl on October 6th, 2005

I have an all in one printer/scanner/copier that has built in networking
capabilities. (Both through Ethernet and Bluetooth.) I currently have it
connected to one computer via USB and the other via a wireless router. The
scanning software that came with the device works fine. However, I would
like to use the Microsoft Camera and Scanning Wizard with the device, but it
appears that Windows requires the scanner to be directly connected to the
computer, not over a network. Is there a workaround or new updates from
microsoft that would allow me to use a network scanning device? Or would I
have to to buy a bluetook adapter to "fool" Windows into thinking that the
device is actually physically connected to the computer. Thanks.
