I was trying to install a new printer using XP home. A problem came up in the
software. Something about windows installer package. My computer then
froze..I had to reboot. I tried all day to fix it..but could not..So I tried
to use the system restore..It would not let me go back to the month of
April!!! Any thoughts? Thanks

This one of the few times that the Last Known Good Configuration option
may be of use.

How to start your computer by using the Last Known Good Configuration
feature in WinXP

System Restore will only allow you to go back to a month that contains
restore points. So it appears there are none available for April.

Let us know if the Last Known Good Configuration options corrects the
