- CD Rom Drive Doesn't Work

My CD Rom Drive doesn't work. i can open it and eject it but when i put a cd
in, it starts to read it and then it makes this clicking sound. then it just
stops reading it after about 15 seconds.

Justin, sounds like you need a new drive.

You Really think so Rick. i haven't checked the cables in the computer yet
though maybe thats the problem.

Justin, the drive is getting power and it's making an attempt to read.
Clicking and drives
are not a good sign. This is usually the way cd drives fail.

I had the same problem. I unplugged the drive and plugged it back in. It
started working. I dont know if it will work for you, but it worked for me.
