I'm very afraid to use my computer right now, because the cursor moves on its
own. If I'm not even touching the mouse, the cursor moves anyway. It's
like someone is virtually shadowing me. I don't have VNC on my computer, and
it's not networked. I have XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2. I
also have spyware and virus protection (supposedly). Can someone please tell
how I can find out what this is -- and get it -- or them -- out of my
computer? Please?

it might just be your mouse needs cleaning.
have you tried taking the ball out and giving it a good blow?

My entire computer system is only 2 weeks old, including the mouse, which is
