Desktop background suddenly changed to color white
Posted by MadisonShanman on March 15th, 2006

I cannot get the desktop background to change back by using 'display' in the
'control panel'. The display in control panel shows that the desktop
background is set to default blue, but it's not. When I try to change the
background or color, it will not apply or change back. Any ideas as to what
is going on? Everything else is still running normally.

Rt click on your Desktop and select Properties>Desktop. In the
Background window select None. For Color select Blue.
You should see a Blue Screen. If yes, click Apply, Ok

Rich:

When I right click on my Desktop, I can choose Properties, but there is no
choice listed for Desktop. It's just Properties. When I click on
Properties, it brings up a window with a General tab, but I cannot change
anything from it.

Also - when I right click on the desktop, none of the choices for background
are highlighted for me to choose.

Any other thoughts?
