- Desktop shortcut links quit working
- Posted by york on October 9th, 2005
Here's an unusual problem would appreciate help with. Right after I
uninstalled a program called Avant, all of the icon links on my desktop that
address IE URLs automatically open the printer selection screen. Even after
retyping the correct URLs in these shortcuts, I still get the error. No
matter what I do I can't link any site on the internet with a shortcut on my
desktop. Funny part is that other icons that have shortcuts, like to
applications, IE, and Outlook, work fine. Anyone with an idea to correct
this puzzler? Thanks.
