- Display turned sideways
- Posted by Collegechc on September 25th, 2005
The other day I was typing on my laptop and my puppy jumped up on the couch
where I was sitting and ran across the keyboard and the next thing I knew the
whole display on the computer had turned sideways. I tried restarting the
computer. I tried shutting it down and starting it back up, but nothing
works. Anybody have any suggestions on how I can get the display back to
normal? Thanks

Have you tried the controls on the monitor, have you tried uninstalling the
video card and restarting your pc. Check your display settings.

Does your computer have software for rotating the display, and if so,
is that software activated by some keystroke combination? If so, all
you have to do is look up in the documentation on how to reset the
display.

Video cards based on nvidia's chipsets can do this too (if you have nvidia's
drivers installed and not using xp's drivers).
