DL.exe - Is this a virus and how do I get rid of it.

Hello all. I am running windows XP Home eddition and a Dos thing keeps
popping up. It is called DL.exe and every time it comes up my internet
connection quits working, and I have to windows task manager and shutdown a
lot of programs. It seems to be a different program that I have to shut down
every time. I am wondering if any one else has ever had something like this
happen.

Thanks in advance,
The confused one

Check out these links for information on DL.EXE

I recommend you start by scanning your system for virus' and cleaning it
thoroughly. You can start with a free online scan at
www.trendmicro.com/housecall. I also recommend using Trend's SysClean utility
(after booting in safe mode) to get any remnants of the infections from your
system.

Finally, get a good antivirus software installed and keep it updated.
TrendMicro, Symantec and McAfee are all good choices or, if you are
interested in saving money, Grisoft still offers a free version of AVG that
is very good. Find it at free.grisoft.com
